The basics of open-source intelligence (OSINT) is a one-day in-depth course into the world of OSINT. The course shows how hackers use publicly available information to plan and carry out cyber-attacks.

Day 1

  • Introduction: Lecture on hacker mindset and setting up access to the lab environment
  • Methodologies: Introduction to common methodologies and attack vectors
  • Intelligence: Introduction to intelligence tools and frameworks
  • Use cases: Executing code in the victim’s system
  • Installation: A look at practical use cases – practical examples which combine theory with practice
  • Exercises: Putting the gained knowledge and skills into practice in the Capture the Flag (CTF) format on KPMG Estonia’s CTF platform

Rajith joined KPMG in 2020. Before that, Rajith worked as an information security engineer at TechCERT. He has been certified as Secure Software Development Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), and he is also OCI Certified Associate.
